  1. Join us on our amazing Glendalough: History by night, night hike and history tour. Over the course of 4 hours we will hike along the lakes of Glendalough while learning the amazing history that this valley has to offer.

Welcome to the first Glendalough Night Hike series, “History by night”.

Join us as we hike the lakes of Glendalough for sunset. Along the way we will discover all the history that Glendalough has to offer while hiking into the night! Watch Sika deer graze as the sunsets, stargaze as we pass through the miners village and travel through the 6th century Monastic site in darkness. Along the way your guide will entertain you with all the culture and history that this amazing place has to offer.

We will depart Glendalough Visitor Centre at 1700hrs and take in the Spinc route which navigates around the lakes and through the miners village.

Please note: THIS IS A HIKE. We will be hiking 12km and gaining a total of 380m of height over the space of 4 hours.

Grade: Medium (lower)


Refunds: Refunds up to 21 days prior to event. After this date your ticket can be transferred if you cannot make the event. Full refunds will be given if the event its cancelled due to weather.

Meeting Time

Meeting time is 1645hrs and we will depart at 1700hrs sharp. We cannot wait around for anyone so please make sure you make it on time.

What To Bring?

As it is Ireland we need to be prepared for all sort of weather. I've detailed below some of the gear you should bring. Remember , layers, layers, layers

-Head torch.
-Waterproof jacket & pants.
-Trail runners or boots.
-Some snacks (nuts, sandwich, flask).
-Gloves, hat,scarf,
-Spare clothes
