Explore The Comeragh Mountains Like never Before
The Comeragh Expedition is an overnight hiking expedition that takes you through some of the most stunning locations in the Comeragh Mountains. Along the way you lean many new mountain skills such as map-reading, compass work, mountain hazard awareness, camp-craft, and more. Skill development is a major part of this of trip. All food and equipment is provided.
Equipment Provided
We provide tents, rucksacks, sleeping mats and cooking equipment. We ask participants to bring their own sleeping bags. We also provide dinner on day one and breakfast/lunch on day two!
Qualified Guides
Our Weekend Expedition guides are qualified Mountain Leader with years of experience guiding around the world.
Learn Valuable Skills
Over the two days we will hold multiple workshops looking at map-reading, compass work, natural navigation & more.
Meeting Point
We will start our journey off from the hidden lake at Crotty's rock. From here we will explore the Comeragh mountains taking in it's best views.
Secure parking is offered at our starting point.

The Comeragh Mountains Expedition ends at 03.30pm the next day.
The Comeragh Mountains Expedition starts at 1030am on day one and finishes at roughly 3pm on day two.
The Comeragh Mountains Expedition meeting point is at Crotty’s Rock (this is subject to change, keep an eye on our communication channels).
Comeragh Mountains Expedition is DIFFICULT, we recommend you have plenty of walking experience for this one.
You should bring a headtorch, rain jacket, waterproof trousers, thermals, warm socks, fleece, water bottle (1L) and snacks, nuts, etc.
We will provide you with tents, rucksacks, sleeping bags, mats, compasses, maps, cooking equipment and food.
Yes, secure overnight parking is available at all of our locations.

For the Comeraghs Mountains Expedition, we will provide dinner on Day one, and breakfast/lunch on Day two – otherwise you should pack your own snacks and a lunch for Day one (remember this is a long walk, so if you’re prone to getting hangry, make sure you pack enough snacks to keep yourself happy!)
A hand torch would suffice, but we recommend you bring a headlamp. Click here for an affordable option we recommend.
Unfortunately, due to health and safety concerns we can not allow your dog on any Wild Summit events.
Yes! All of our guides are qualified with QQI Level 8 Honours Degrees in relevant areas, and hold Mountain Leader certification and years of experience leading around the world.
