Watch Sika deer graze as the sunsets, stargaze as we pass through the miners village and travel through the 6th century Monastic site in darkness. Most frequent questions and answers

The Glendalough Night Hike start time depends on the chosen date. To check the start time, choose a date on our availability calendar (in green) and click BOOK NOW. A window with the start time will then appear.

The Glendalough Night Hike ends 4.5hrs after the starting time.

The Glendalough Night Hike lasts 5 hours. We stop for talks along the way.

The Glendalough Nike Hike meeting point is at the Glendalough Visitor Centre.

The Glendalough Night Hike is MODERATE in difficulty. Some walking experience would be good (if you can do the Sugar Loaf then you can get through the most difficult part of the tour). 

You should bring a headtorch, rain jacket, waterproof trousers, thermals, warm socks, fleece, water bottle (1L) and snacks, nuts, etc.

For the Glendalough Night Hike we recommend parking either on the road or at the carpark behind the hotel. This is due to the fact that the visitor centre closes their carpark at 10pm during the summer months.

There is plenty of options on AirBnB. If you and your partner are looking for a special weekend getaway, we would recommend you check out An Clochán.

For this activity, we suggest you bring a snack with you such as nuts or protein bars.

A hand torch would suffice, but we recommend you bring a headlamp. Click here for an affordable option we recommend.

Unfortunately, due to health and safety concerns we can not allow your dog on any Wild Summit events.
