Atlas Mountains
Our Next Moroccan Retreat (€950) is October 16th. Our Moroccan winter ascents (€999) then kick off late February.
Our main objective on this trip is to have fun, experience the adventure and take in the beauty that is Morocco. Apart from being highly qualified and experienced, our guides are also easy going and there to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. This is the perfect trip for those who are looking to experience an overseas hiking expedition and hit a 4000+m peak!
Prior to the trip, we will meet for a hike in the Wicklow Mountains. This will give you an opportunity to meet the group, guide and ask any of the questions you have.
Our next trips will include two days on the Moroccan coast.
Travel from Dublin to Marrakech on the 8:25pm Ryanair flight. We should land at midnight. Once we are through security, a shuttle will pick the group up from the airport, and we will be at the hotel within half an hour. After a quick check-in, it will be straight to bed for the morning to come.
We will leave Marrakech early and take the 1.5-hour bus journey to the beautiful mountain town of Imlil. Here we will complete our acclimatization hike, hiking though the beautiful atlas mountains.
We will spend the night in a comfortable riad in Imlil
Today we hike towards Toubkal refuge. We start the trek & climb through the Tizi Mzik pass (2479m) with spectacular view over Imlil valley & Toubkal Summit. We will then continue to Tamsoulte to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains through juniper forest.
Overnight at the Refuge
Up early for the climb up Toubkal (4,167 m) from where you will have wonderful views over the Atlas range and the Sahara desert.
We will continue a long way back down past the refuge and the well-worn path back to Imlil. This is a fairly long day with 8-9 hours of trekking, involving 900m up then almost 2,500 m back down to Imlil. Stay in riad for the night.
After breakfast we will be brought to the beautiful Moroccan coast where you will have the choice to surf, snorkle or chill.

After breakfast, we will take our journey back to Marrakesh, where we will have arranged a city tour.
We will meet again in the evening for a dinner to wrap up the trip!
